Tour of Duty - Hungary

Next was our visit to Hungary. Hungarians are a strong willed people. They seem to have an idea of what they want, when they want it with the added expectation that YOU will give it to them no questions asked. Tour of Duty - Romania

From the moment our feet touched Romanian soil, it was non-stop go, go, go! I was particularly excited to begin our trip in Romania, as it was the birthplace of my dear departed Great Grandmother Esther who came to America in search of a better life and three generations later, I am the first of her offspring to return. Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month 2007

I'm fresh off of my trip to D.C. in observance of Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month. In one week’s time, we accomplished more than you could imagine. The Cancer Schmancer team met with Senators, Congresswomen (and men!) and reminded them how important it is to fully fund "Johanna's Law," also known as the Gynecologic Education and Awareness Act. This funding will allow the CDC to launch a national campaign to educate women about gynecologic cancers. It's about time!
