It seems that flame retardants have been making headlines recently. One recent headline that made me very happy came from the Governor of California 3 days ago. Governor Jerry Brown was quoted in regards to flame retardants and the need to revise decades old fire safety standards:

Kristal Moffett - Sunscreen

As I begin to include more time outdoors with the nicer weather, I have been thinking a lot about sunscreens and their benefits. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my Vitamin D was really low. Not surprising as I was always slathered with sunscreen.

I stepped back and began to wonder if I really needed to wear as much sunscreen as I had been and if maybe a little bit of sun might be ok. I began to wonder if my sunscreen was doing me and my family more harm than it was doing good, but who is to really say?

Fran really got me thinking about formaldehyde when she ran the article about Johnson and Johnson’s Baby Shampoo. Shocking to hear that an ingredient in something you would put on your newborn infant would contain formaldehyde! Most people I know love the smell and would never associate it with a toxin.

I’m forever grateful that I am able to share my story and help women like me; who are too scared or too intimidated to take charge of their health.

I'm BAAAACK!

My dear friends,

I'm jumping out of my shoes and ya want to know why?!  June 15th, I'm back on TV, baby! I will be starring in a new TV Land sitcom called "Happily Divorced" which is inspired by my true story, but not your classic love tale!
