NAME
The name of this club will be the (Name of School/Community) ______________________ WE THE FUTURE Club.
PURPOSE & GOALS
This WE THE FUTURE Club will promote Cancer Schmancer’s mission of empowering the youth about the importance of cancer prevention, early detection, and living healthily.
The WE THE FUTURE Club will:
EDUCATE: Teach your community about the importance of cancer prevention, healthy living, the warning signs and risks of cancer, the screening tests available, and how to become better partners with their physicians
ADVOCATE: Help ensure better women’s health education and services on campus and support Cancer Schmancer in passing key pieces of legislation so early detection becomes a priority in healthcare practices
DONATE: Raise money for Cancer Schmancer’s outreach, education and early detection programs
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to young adults (teens, college students, med school students, etc) who are interested in creating a healthier world for their generation and beyond. The club and its members will not discriminate against any individual for reasons of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, gender, physical and mental handicap, or veteran status.
MEETINGS
Regular meetings will be held according to the schedule of each club.
FUNDRAISING
At the end of all WE THE FUTURE club fundraising initiatives, all money raised must be donated to the Cancer Schmancer Headquarters. (Cancer Schmancer Foundation. 23823 Malibu Rd., #311, Malibu, CA 90265).
AMENDMENTS
Any amendments or changes to this charter must be approved by Cancer Schmancer’s Headquarters.
1. The WE THE FUTURE club shall be and remain in good standing with the school, university or community. The term WE THE FUTURE is not used in profanity and will not be used as such by the club.
2. The Trademarks and Content shall be used by the WE THE FUTURE club solely for authorized activities associated with raising awareness of and funds for Cancer Schmancer’s mission of saving women’s lives through prevention and early detection of cancer, in a manner that does not depreciate the value, reputation or goodwill of the Trademarks and/or Cancer Schmancer.
3. The Trademarks shall not be used by the WE THE FUTURE club in connection with any activities co-sponsored by or otherwise affiliated with any other organization or entity, without the prior written approval of Cancer Schmancer.
4. Any printed documents bearing the Trademarks should use the notice of trademark registration, namely ®.
5. Cancer Schmancer is the sole and exclusive owner of all right, title and interest in and to the Trademarks (including all goodwill pertaining thereto) and the Content. WE THE FUTURE club acknowledges and agrees that any and all modifications of, or derivative works created from, the Content shall be owned solely, completely and exclusively by Cancer Schmancer, free and clear from all claims of any nature relating to WE THE FUTURE club’s contributions and other efforts. Without limiting the foregoing, Cancer Schmancer shall have a royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual and irrevocable right and license to use, display, reproduce and perform any copyrightable content created by or on behalf the WE THE FUTURE club that is based on Cancer Schmancer, the Trademarks, and/or Content.
6. The WE THE FUTURE club shall not use Cancer Schmancer’s name, Trademarks, or Content other than as expressly permitted hereunder and, in particular, shall not incorporate Cancer Schmancer’s name in the name of any business name or domain name.
7. This agreement does not create a partnership or joint venture between the parties, and WE THE FUTURE club shall have no power to obligate or bind Cancer Schmancer in any manner whatsoever.
8. Upon written notice from Cancer Schmancer, the WE THE FUTURE club shall cease and desist from any and all use of the Trademarks and/or Content.
