Fran Drescher to take centre stage at Winnipeg’s 2013 Guardian Angel event
The Nanny is coming to Winnipeg.
Fran Drescher, best known for her role as the nasally-voiced Fran Fine on the TV series The Nanny, will share her battle with cancer at the 2013 Guardian Angel Benefit for Women’s Cancer on Sunday, Oct. 27, CancerCare Manitoba announced on Friday.
In addition to her work as a television/film actress, comedian and producer, Drescher is an activist who started the Cancer Schmancer Movement which advocates prevention and early detection of cancer.
Tickets for the event, in its 22nd year and a major fundraiser for cancer research, treatment and awareness for Manitoba women, are currently on sale at the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation website.
