Cancer-Fighting Green Smoothie
In 440 B.C., the famous Greek physician Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and let thy medicine be food." That's why we've created this super-healthy green smoothie packed with ingredients to support your health. Give it a try!
CANCER-FIGHTING INGREDIENTS
Flax
Flax seeds are packed with fiber and phytochemicals called lignans, compounds well studied for their anti-cancer activity. High dietary fiber consumption is significantly associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer.
Kale
Research findings show that the carotenoids found in dark green leafy vegetables, such as kale, can act as antioxidants and boost the body’s own antioxidant defenses. These defenses help stop free radicals from damaging DNA, which can lead to cancer. Vitamin C in kale is also a powerful antioxidant and helps to inhibit the formation of carcinogens.
Spinach
Ginger
Ginger has been studied for its potential cancer-preventing properties, but the scientific evidence is still limited and inconclusive. Some laboratory and animal studies have suggested that ginger may have anti-cancer properties, including the ability to suppress tumor growth and reduce inflammation. However, these findings have not yet been confirmed in human studies, and more research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits of ginger in cancer prevention
