How To Stick With an Alkaline Diet
Sometimes, even the most fool proof alkaline diet plan does not stand a chance against an unmotivated person. It’s easy to get sidetracked sometimes especially when things start to get boring. Let’s all face it; lack of motivation makes it difficult for people to stick with their diet even if it is the Alkaline Diet.
However, there are several things you can do to combat the feeling of quitting the alkaline diet when things get tough or when you just feel uninspired.
First, remind yourself why you are doing this. Remember the benefits that the alkaline diet packs for your body—more energy, guard against diseases, better skin, bones and teeth, less headaches and the like. Visualize a healthier and slimmer version of yourself.
Next, surround yourself with the right people. The great thing about the alkaline diet is that it can work for the whole family. Change your daily menu to that of alkalizing foods instead of the usual acidifying fare and let your family experience the perks of being on the alkaline diet as well!
Moreover, you can join groups who are on the same health path as you are. Find people you can share stories with, as being able to identify with other people can help motivate you to carry on with your alkaline diet.
Finally, keep a journal for your diet. This does not only work for jotting down your daily caloric intake or jotting down the alkalizing foods, beverages, and supplements you have taken for the day. You can use this journal as a way to express yourself while you are on your diet. Write down your favorite diet quotes, list down alkaline recipes, or jot down short-term goals related to optimum health and alkalizing your body.
