Newsletter: September 2008
As you know, September marks both Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month and National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Join Cancer Schmancer in honoring all of the women who have lost their lives due to late stage diagnosis of cancer.
Make a difference in a woman's life today by purchasing an Armantine T-Blouse from your local Anne Fontaine store, watching the Cancer Schmancer Tea Party DVD, or attending a Cancer Schmancer event. Our upcoming events include a Cancer Schmancer luncheon in Las Vegas on September 14th and Eat, Drink and Be Merry in Napa, CA, on September 20th. Together, we will revolutionize women's health history!
And, I am so incredibly proud to announce that this past Monday, I was appointed the distinguished position of Public Diplomacy Envoy for Women's Health Issues by Assistant Secretary of State, Goli Ameri, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. In this role, I will use my international celebrity to speak to women in emerging nations about the importance of taking control of their bodies, becoming better partners with their physicians, and transforming from patients into medical consumers. I leave for my first trip in two weeks and will be traveling to Romania, Poland, Hungary, and Kosovo. Click here to watch my acceptance speech at the U.S. Department of State.

Oh, and don't forget that our next presidential election is less than two months away. Be sure to read up on each presidential candidates' cancer plans. We don't care who you vote for, so long as who you vote for is voting for you!
Early detection equals survival. Stage 1 is the cure!
